My first Classic Spin with the Classics Club !
So here my list of 20 classics… With a good ol’ randomizer, a number will be chosen next Monday and I’ll have to read that book and review it by July 1 !

What decided me was the fact that it’s only one book, on a list of books I chose to read 🙂
My last spin was The Magnificent Ambersons which also ticked off a Pulitzer book for me 🙂

Your list is FANTASTIC. I think you’re going to be lucky to end up with pretty much anything. A lot of my all-time favorite books are on this list: The Lord of the Flies, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Franny and Zooey, As I Lay Dying, East of Eden (YES!), and Tender is the Night. Amazing, amazing books. So excited for you! Do you plan to read just the short story, “A Good Man is Hard to Find”, or a particular O’Connor collection which includes it? (Just curious). Thank you Roof Beam : ) I have Flannery O’Connor’s Complete Works and Im planning to read it bit by bit. I already read Wise blood which was great. A Good Man is Hard to find is just the next one on the list. Some books on that list are rereads (like the Fitzgeralds) but rereads in their original langugage. I initially read then in French and I thought it was time to try them in English.
Count of Monte Cristo is on my spin list also. I read it and loved it as a teen but I think it’s due for a re-read since I remember little about it. Hope you get a # you’re excited about reading! Here’s my Classics Club Spin list if you’d like to stop by.
I read it as a teen too and like you I thought it was time for a reread. I’ll be quite happy with any books on this list. I’ve made my Classics list only with books I really really want to read or reread. I’m keeping my dread reading for my personal and private TBR shelf that I can postpone discreetly without anyone knowing lol !
That is a great list, and I’d say you’re pretty much guaranteed a book to fall in love with. My picks would be 1, 7 and 3 – The Count of Monte Cristo is on my list, I love what I read, but I just need that extra push to go on and read the whole thing.
It’s exactly how I feel about Pride and Prejudice lol ! I kind of hope it will be picked up Monday, that way I won’t have a choice but read it.
Great list – my pick would be East of Eden which I read last year and loved. Hope the spin gives a book you will love!
I’ve read East of Eden a couple of years ago, in French. I’ve decided to reread it in english this time. I loved so much, like I love all Steinbeck’s books. 🙂
