A very unusual Stephen King novel, deeply researched, recreating the 50’s and 60’s with accuracy and a political topic. A travel in time back to when things seem to be better, but were they really ? Stephen King gives us a real page turner, even if it’s based on events that everyone is familiar with. The novel appears to be focused on the question : What would the world have been like if John Kennedy didn’t die on the 22nd of November 1963 ? In my opinion, this topic is only a pretext to a reflection about how an event is interpreted. Did the conspiracy theories abound because people have to give to this assassination a bigger meaning than just the isolated act of a sick mind ?
